At this year’s SEMIEXPO Heartland in Indianapolis, ACE Controls and Fabreeka joined fellow manufacturers, suppliers, and engineers to explore the future of semiconductor production. From emerging semiconductor tech to conversations about reshoring chip manufacturing, the event offered a glimpse into the future of our industry- and gave us a chance to highlight the solutions we’re proud to bring to the table.
Taking place at the Indiana Convention Center, the conference showcased the Midwest’s emergence as a semiconductor hub. With over 1,100 attendees and 50 exhibitors, the conference focused on smart manufacturing and mobility, featuring keynotes from industry and academic leaders. The event highlighted the region’s strengths in manufacturing, infrastructure, and workforce initiatives essential for the semiconductor industry’s growth.
At the conference, ACE Controls showcased its advanced motion control and clean room solutions tailored for semiconductor manufacturing environments. Precision-engineered for the ultra-clean demands of semiconductor manufacturing, our stainless steel gas springs, nickel-plated shock absorbers, and cleanroom compliant co-polyester elastomer TUBUS bumpers ensure minimal contamination and maximum performance in every high-stakes operation. As domestic semiconductor production ramps up, ACE is positioned to support manufacturers with the reliable, contamination-controlled components these facilities increasingly demand.
Alongside ACE Controls, Fabreeka highlighted its advanced vibration isolation systems designed for high-precision industries like semiconductor manufacturing and aerospace. Offering rapid settling times and sub-1 Hz isolation performance, ideal for sensitive equipment, both the ISOModA and ISOTablA systems are excellent options for vibration control. Each having deeply customizable options such as its semi-active and passive designs, Fabreeka’s isolators support a wide range of load capacities while minimizing vibration and stabilizing shifting centers of gravity during operation.
Key trends shaping the semiconductor industry’s future took center stage: the expanding role of artificial intelligence, the integration of smart manufacturing, and the accelerating adoption of simulation-driven R&D. Artificial intelligence and machine learning were discussed not just as buzzwords, but as practical tools that can optimize manufacturing lines and enhance process control. A standout topic was the rise of simulation software, which allows manufacturers to virtually test components and processes before physical implementation, saving time, cutting costs, and improving accuracy. Beyond the buzz, the conference explored the core science of semiconductor fabrication – from intricate wafer-level processing to the innovative chiplet architecture – underscoring how razor-sharp technical precision is now a major competitive edge in this rapidly changing landscape
SEMIEXPO Heartland made it clear that the semiconductor industry is entering a new era—one driven by innovation, digital transformation, and a renewed commitment to domestic manufacturing. For ACE Controls, it was an exciting opportunity to connect with industry leaders, showcase cleanroom-ready solutions, and reaffirm our role in supporting the next generation of chip production. As the semiconductor industry grows and develops, we’re proud to deliver the motion control and isolation technologies that help make it possible.
We can’t wait to attend next year’s conference in Detroit!
